A pool icon or a high score rarely tells the whole story. Needle organises the practical questions scattered across listings, maps and other available evidence, then considers them against your brief.

The research frame
The questions depend on your holiday
We do not turn every possible filter into a fixed checklist. The brief determines which details deserve attention.
Properties
We consider the accommodation type, location and brief-specific essentials—such as party suitability, nearby amenities, facilities, accessibility, quietness or other deal-breakers.
Maps and locality
We look at where a property actually sits rather than relying only on the area name used in a listing. Unclear or contradictory location evidence stays unresolved.
Review-related questions
Review-related concerns are recorded as questions to investigate. They are not treated as established facts, and an unanswered question remains an unknown.

Begin with the brief

Keep claims tied to evidence
A listing is a starting point, not proof. Findings are kept separate from unsupported assumptions.
Show the trade-offs
A strong option can still have compromises. Those compromises belong beside the recommendation, not hidden in small print.
Leave gaps visible
If the available evidence cannot answer something important, the report should show the gap so you know what to recheck.

Right now, Needle focuses on package holidays. We don't currently research accommodation-only, flight-only or private-rental trips.
Needle does not make the booking for you. You choose and book directly with the travel provider.
